The National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) stands firm in our commitment to immunizations as a vital tool in protecting lives and preventing disease. For decades, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) has played a critical role as a leading voice in vaccine guidance for our Nation. While the recent decision to remove all current ACIP members raises concerns about the stability and continuity of the advisory process, we share the belief that transparency, accountability, and scientific integrity must guide public health decisions. Equally important is representation, and we hope that Latino professionals from across the health sector will be appointed to the ACIP.
