Dr. Ilan Shapiro has always been turning health information into meaningful action that improves community well-being. Born and raised in Mexico City, I served as a liaison with the World Health Organization, where I learned that effective healthcare must stay rooted in community needs. I trained as a pediatric resident at Mount Sinai Children’s Hospital in Chicago and later became a spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics. Today, I lead binational public health initiatives for Hispanic communities and contribute to national advocacy efforts, including work with the White House Hispanic Policy Group. Through media platforms like CNN and Telemundo, I translate complex health topics into accessible language. I remain committed to advancing equitable, community-driven healthcare solutions.
