Dr. Julieta Arguelles is dedicated to transforming healthcare barriers into bridges that improve access and outcomes for Latino communities. Born and raised in Mexico, she earned her medical degree from Universidad Anáhuac, where she witnessed the importance of culturally competent care. After moving to the United States, she recognized the deep disparities affecting Latino patients and became committed to increasing Latino representation in medicine.
She is the founder of LATIMGS, a national network that connects Latino international medical students, graduates, residents, and attending physicians to strengthen representation and reduce linguistic and cultural gaps in healthcare.
Dr. Arguelles currently serves as a Postdoctoral Researcher at MD Anderson Cancer Center, contributing to dermato-oncology research. She is also pursuing a Master of Public Health in Health Policy at University of Nebraska Medical Center. Guided by her motto, “per aspera ad astra,” she empowers Latino physicians to turn challenges into lasting progress.
