Marisa Hernandez-Morgan, MD, MPP

Marisa Hernandez-Morgan completed both her undergraduate degree and medical school at UCLA. She has an interest in health policy and equity and also earned a Master’s in Public Policy during medical school. She completed residency in anesthesiology at UCSF Medical Center and like any true Southern Californian, she came back to Los Angeles where she finished fellowships in both Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. She is now an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at UCLA and is the program director for the Critical Care Medicine fellowship. Her research interests include health disparities in access to and outcomes after cardiac surgery and mechanical circulatory support.
