Norma Perez, MD

Dr. Norma Perez is a board-certified pediatrician dedicated to serving communities affected by health disparities. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Huntington Park, she has worked in multiple underserved primary care settings. Dr. Perez joined AltaMed Health Services in 2015 as a Pediatrician and became Site Medical Director in 2017, shaping pediatric care for children in Los Angeles. She now directs AltaMed’s Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs) grants, addressing toxic stress and connecting families to supportive social services. She earned her undergraduate degree at UCLA, her MD at New York Medical College, and completed her pediatrics residency at Stony Brook University Hospital. Dr. Perez is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Los Angeles County Medical Association.
