I have 20 years of clinical administrative expertise, experience, knowledge and skills working with physicians at the local, state and national level in the healthcare industry.
My initial experience was serving as Director of Utilization Review at a local community hospital. This opportunity was leveraged to increase my educational knowledge base by becoming a Fellow of the American College of Medical Quality and board certified by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. My knowledge in hospital and health plan utilization management continued as I served on numerous hospital and health plan QI and UM committees. During my years of clinical practice I served on several IPA and Management Service Organization UM Committees.
At the state level my involvement with state medical association and health organizational leadership positions further strengthened utilization management knowledge from a collective, population based perspective.
This UM knowledge base is further enhanced by the addition of Health Policy training during a certificate program at the Robert Wagner School of Public Service at New York University and my Healthcare MBA from the School of Graduate Management at the University of Irvine.
